Hey you, I got a challenge for you. On me at all times that I am out of my house I carry an unencrypted USB stick with me. That USB stick contains a file, a very particular and interesting file, that file is called flag.md, that files contains a very large alphanumeric value, a value that has the size of 64 characters. Ofcourse all of my computer scientist readers will probably have drawn out the conclusion that I am describing a CTF and yes, that is what I am doing.

Why am I doing this you may ask, well that is an excellent question. I consider this a great chance to teach you and myself the importance of a private internet. All of my social accounts are linked here, my social accounts are linked to my devices and my devices are mostly on me. There are so many dangerous ways that a person can find you and this social experiment is a way to make you think of your privacy.

Yeah, there is a USB stick and there is a flag.md on that stick, but please if you really want to take this seriously come to me and ask me politely to give you access to the flag.md and don’t try to steal it from me, I was just trying to convey a thought here.

Why a 64 character alphanumeric Link to heading

Well, if you are asking that I can already tell that you are not majoring in CS. It’s the key to decrypt a phrase (or anything) that is encrypted with algorithms like SHA or AES etc. Here, there is not message, this is a rushed article just to make you think, I just generated a value and placed it on a USB that happens to carry with me.
